There’s something about reckless declarations of love that’s made for the summer. So it’s appropriate that “Omygod,” Black Grapefruit’s new single, arrives just four days after the summer solstice. When the chorus hits, the titular “Oh my god” is so pure, so adolescent in its guilelessness, that you forget for a moment the outer-shell you’ve grown to ward off hardship and heartbreak, and you remember a time when you let yourself be astounded, by the world or just one person, and you said, in a shout or in a whisper or maybe just in your head, “OH MY GOD!”
