This year has been challenging for us and there’s just so much fucking tension around the world. We’ve been chasing moments of release and freedom — it’s that spirit that drives this project.

Club music really prioritizes energy over structure, so working on this project was a much needed departure for us. We had some things we wanted to say and try, but we didn’t want to be bound by any kind of format. It all started with the single, “Waist.” After locking that song in we started to think, “what if we built a vibe around this?” We let go and followed our instincts. Fuck convention or structure, we needed to feel good about something. We needed to say some shit out loud and dance.

The EP plays together like a dance mix. It’s only 15 minutes long. We imagine it as the car ride to, and/or from, the club.
